What is business coaching?

Coaching is an ongoing relationship with a business expert from the community.

C.E.O. Women will connect you with members of the business community who can help you start or improve your business.  You will work together with your coach to meet your business goals.

Your coach will:
  • offer advice on your business
  • help you to plan and solve problems
  • listen and help you reach your goals

Your coach will not do business for you or have answers to all your questions.

Who can work with a business coach?

Any C.E.O. Women graduate can request a coach. 

Price:
  • non-members: $50
  • Women Connected members: $40

How Business Coaching Helped One C.E.O. Women Graduate Start the Business of Her Dreams!

Adela Orucuta and Arturo Noriega met for the first time in the C.E.O. Women adela_arturo_coaching office. Adela is a C.E.O. Women graduate. She is opening a day care center in El Cerrito. Arturo has a business background and volunteers helping families obtain citizenship in the Mission District of San Francisco.

Adela is working with a coach to reach her goals of getting her permits, making a marketing plan and finding a location for her business.

Arturo wanted to work with C.E.O. Women graduates because he saw the challenges that his parents faced as immigrants moving to Los Angeles and wants to help others, like his parents, to reach their goals: "I have a passion for helping people develop themselves and realize their their dreams."

In their first meeting, Adela and Arturo got to know each other. They chatted about their families and jobs. Adela shared her dream of owning a day care center, and the business plan she put together for the C.E.O. Women class. Then Adela shared her goals.

Arturo helped her to make a list of steps to reach these goals.  He did this by offering his "knowledge of finance, marketing, strategy, and entrepreneurship."
